Job Description
Under the direction of a radiologist or physician, the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform general examinations, producing ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes and interventional procedures. Exercises good judgment in determining necessary measurements and performs all computer processing for ultrasound examinations. Provides patient care and education before, during, and after procedures. May mentor less experienced ultrasound technologists.
