Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks an ultrasound technologist to perform scans and assist radiologists in diagnosing patients of all ages. Under supervision of the Mammography/Ultrasound Supervisor, you will produce high-quality images and document results in HIS/RIS/PACS.

This full-time, on-site role requires an Associate Degree in medical imaging, ARDMS registration or eligibility, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in medical imaging or related field.
• Registration with ARDMS or eligibility for registry.
• Additional registration in vascular, breast, gyn, or abdominal imaging.
• BLS required before end of 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records patient clinical information and history; adjusts imaging procedures for patient size, age, or condition.
• Assists, transfers, and positions patients, ensuring safety and modesty; selects scan parameters.
• Processes and records scanned images per radiologist protocol in HIS/RIS/PACS; reviews with Radiologist as requested.
• Checks equipment operation; maintains cleanliness and supplies; adheres to QA and maintenance schedules.
• Maintains competency in disinfection processes and stays updated with ultrasonography advances.

Education

Associate Degree in medical imaging and/or health related field

ARDMS registration or registry eligible

Additional registration in Vascular, Breast, GYN, Abdominal
