Aptive Resources seeks an Ultrasound (US) Technologist for the VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, OR (and Vancouver, WA campus). The role performs diagnostic ultrasound exams and operates equipment to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, ensuring image quality and proper labeling prior to transmission.

Formación

• Registered with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
• Must hold two or more sonography certifications (e.g., RVT, OB/GYN, MSK).
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years hospital ultrasound experience in the U.S.
• Must have worked in a hospital setting within the last six months.
• Professional liabillity insurance required.
• Ability to work at least six months after start date.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine and complex ultrasound examinations including: abdomen, liver, renal, gynecological imaging, small parts scanning.
• Ensure image quality and proper labeling prior to PACS transmission.
• Maintain patient documentation and exam records.
• Schedule and prioritize ultrasound examinations.
• Coordinate with radiologists for nonstandard exams.
• Communicate urgent findings to radiologists or physicians.
• Maintain compliance with radiation and safety protocols.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures to patients.
• Provide emergency or on-call ultrasound services when required.
• Work independently while reporting issues to the Chief Technologist.
