Job summary

VA Portland Health Care System is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technician to provide on-site diagnostic ultrasound and sonography services across facilities in Portland, Vancouver, and Salem. The role includes vascular and Doppler studies, intraoperative imaging, and on-call coverage.

Requires ARDMS Abdomen & Small Parts with two additional certifications and at least three years of ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Abdomen and Small Parts with two additional certifications (e.g., RVT, OB/GYN, or Musculoskeletal).
• Minimum of three years of current diagnostic ultrasound experience.
• Hospital setting experience within prior six months including inpatient, ED and ICU.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound and vascular examinations.
• Conduct abdominal, neck, chest, extremity, pelvic, retroperitoneal, scrotal, and other studies.
• Perform vascular and Doppler studies including renal and limb examinations.
• Provide portable, emergency, ICU and intraoperative ultrasound as required.
• Assist with biopsy, aspirations, catheter placements and other image-guided procedures.
