Job summary

El-Paso-Children is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures across patient ages and to support department care practices in Diagnostic Imaging Services.

The role emphasizes clinical tasks, system development and quality improvement within a busy imaging department. Experience or registry eligibility in ARDMS/ARRT plus BLS certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Senior student or graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program.
• ARDMS or ARRT certification preferred or registry eligible.
• New graduates must complete registry within 6 months of hire date.
• All Sonographers must be certified at required program level at time of department inspection by ACR or at accreditation renewal.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs wide range of Ultrasound procedures on patients of varying ages.
• Completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in Department for procedures.
• Assists in development and the monitoring of department specific systems.
• Coordinates activities that improve the quality of patient care in Diagnostic Imaging Services.
