Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist I to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging across patient populations from infants to geriatric.

Work is in the Ultrasound Unit and dayshift, 8-hour schedule. Under supervision of the Radiology team, this role requires ARDMS certification upon hire and BLS certification, patient-centered care, and participation in quality control and on-call scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a diagnostic ultrasound program approved by AMA or equivalent education/experience.
• Upon hire: ARDMS certification.
• Upon hire: BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging for all patient ages.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families and staff.
• Participate in quality control and departmental improvement activities.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced sonographers and participate in on-call scheduling.
