We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, providing high-quality images to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a patient-centered approach to ensure optimal care and comfort during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams based on physician orders.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring proper positioning and technique.
  • Prepare and educate patients about procedures, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
  • Review and evaluate images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic value, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and provide diagnostic support.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including exam documentation and imaging results.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, and complies with safety standards.
  • Stay updated on ultrasound technology advancements.
  • Adhere to hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies, including HIPAA.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Current certification through ARDMS or equivalent (e.g., RVT, RDMS).
  • Current BLS certification.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in ultrasound equipment operation and sonographic procedures.

  • Ability to assess and respond to patient needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, and operate equipment.
Physical and Mental Requirements
