Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in New York. The role covers abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular, and soft tissue studies, with emphasis on patient comfort and accurate imaging.

The ideal candidate will have ARDMS certification, an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program degree, and active state licensure if applicable, with 1–2 years of experience in hospital or outpatient settings.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS certification required.
  • Active state license (if applicable).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of General Ultrasound experience in hospital or outpatient setting.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across abdominal, small parts, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular (if applicable), and soft tissue studies.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and ensure comfort.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment for optimal imaging.
  • Document findings accurately for physician interpretation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams to support timely diagnosis.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate EMR records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance and equipment performance activities.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled General Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have experience performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including Abdominal, Small Parts, Pelvic, OB/GYN, Vascular (if applicable), and Soft Tissue studies.
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the examination process and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
  • Recognize normal and abnormal sonographic findings and provide accurate documentation for physician interpretation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and maintain equipment performance standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required.
  • Active state license (if applicable).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of General Ultrasound experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Epic or other EMR systems.
  • Strong knowledge of abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, and small parts ultrasound.
  • Excellent communication, patient care, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
