SimonMed Imaging in The Villages, FL is seeking a full-time ultrasound technologist. You will perform obstetric, gynecologic, abdomen, breast and vascular scans and contribute to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered.
• Completed an approved Ultrasound Technology program or RT(R) licensed.
• Proficiency in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast, OB/GYN and Vascular imaging.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in job-related ultrasound skills for patients and services.
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records results, and maintains logs.
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, abdominal, retroperitoneal and vascular imaging.
• Calibrates and maintains ultrasound equipment and orders supplies as needed.
• Follows standard practices with some independent judgment and creativity.
• Supports department with flexible duties as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R) who has received on the job training and must be ARDMS registered.
• Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast and OB (1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd trimester)/GYN, and Vascular imaging.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
