Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking a per-diem Ultrasound Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Florida. The role involves performing obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, and vascular scans, with emphasis on high-quality patient care and accurate documentation.

Applicants must have completed an Ultrasound Technology program or be a licensed RT(R) with on-the-job training and be ARDMS registered or eligible. Strong knowledge of abdomen, small parts, breast and OB/GYN imaging is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R) with on-the-job training.
• ARDMS registration or eligibility is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results and maintains logs.
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, abdominal, retroperitoneal, and related ultrasound examinations.
• Maintains and calibrates ultrasound equipment and orders supplies as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R) who has received on the job training and must be ARDMS registered.
• Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast and OB (1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd trimester)/GYN, and Vascular imaging.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
