Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, breast and vascular ultrasound exams. The role involves coordinating tests, recording results, and maintaining equipment and logs, with adherence to standard imaging procedures.

A licensed RT(R) and completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology program are required. The position supports our outpatient radiology services and offers the opportunity to grow skills within a

• Successful completion of an approved Ultrasound Technology program.
• Licensed RT(R) per state requirements.
• Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast/OB imaging, GYN, and Vascular imaging.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and maintains logs.
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans and related ultrasound examinations.
• Calibrates and maintains ultrasound equipment and orders supplies when needed.
• Familiar with standard imaging practices and safety procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
• Performs obstetric and gynecological scans, ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of an approved program in Ultrasound Technology or licensed RT(R)
• Knowledge in Abdomen, Small parts, Breast and OB (1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd trimester)/GYN, and Vascular imaging.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
