Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of sonographic procedures, preparing and presenting films for radiologist review. You will operate imaging equipment and maintain professional relationships with the care team under the Imaging Supervisor.

Qualified candidates will have an ultrasound vocational program, ARDMS OB/Abdomen with RVT or ARRT vascular certification, and a current BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• Registered and certified with ARDMS in OB or Abdomen.
• ARDMS RVT or ARRT – Vascular certification (grace period).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic procedures to detect pathology or assist in treatment.
• Operates department equipment and prepares films for radiologist review.
• Maintains professional rapport with coworkers and medical staff; reports to Imaging Supervisor.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures, for the purpose of detecting pathology, evaluating function, or as a means of assisting in the provision of treatment. Operates all the equipment utilized within the department, and develops and organizes films for presentation to the radiologist. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow co-workers, other departments, and Medical Staff. Works under the supervision of the Imaging Supervisor.

Position Requirements

Education:

• Successful completion of a vocational program from a school of Ultrasound.

Experience:

• Ability to perform all sonographic procedures according to established guidelines utilizing appropriate equipment.

Other Qualifications

• Registered and certified with the A.R.D.M.S: in OB or Abdomen.
• Must be registered in ARDMS RVT or ARRT – Vascular (6 months Grace)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
