Job summary

RadNet is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams while upholding patient safety and privacy. You will support radiologists in ultrasound-guided procedures, ensure accurate data acquisition, and maintain empathy and professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities emphasize patient monitoring, adherence to policies, and safeguarding patient information, with a focus on delivering excellent care across imaging centers.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Passed SPI exam.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• Must have BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures when needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation methods and operation of instruments.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to any discomfort or medical issues.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
