Job summary

RadNet in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound exams and support radiologists in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and precise imaging aligned with department policies.

Role requires understanding of ultrasound technology, adherence to regulatory requirements, and commitment to teamwork and professional growth within RadNet's imaging network.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• Current ARDMS or equivalent certification preferred (SPI/SONO).
• BLS certification and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with department policies.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation and operation of imaging equipment.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues.
• Maintain patient privacy and safeguard health information.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma
• Passed SPI exam preferred
• Current ARDMS certifications or AART (S), or ARDMS Registry / ARRT (S) Eligible preferred
• BLS certification

Pay Range: $24.00 - $36.00 / hour
