Job summary

RadNet in Garden Grove is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations and support radiologists with procedures. You will ensure patient safety, protect PHI, and operate ultrasound equipment in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires ARDMS certification, a diploma in ultrasound technology, SPI exam, and BLS certification, with opportunities for growth and cross-training within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
• SPI exam passed.
• Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in accordance with approved practices and department policies.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
• Understand ultrasound data generation methods and instrument operation.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policies.
• Protect company property and patient financial information on-site or portals.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; respect boundaries.

You Will

• Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with currently approved practices as outlined in department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
• Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

• Applicants must have completed their Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma

Pay Range: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
