Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision. You will apply independent judgment to deliver state-of-the-art imaging and support patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires completing an accredited ultrasound program, ARDMS registration within the first year (or two years from graduation), and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate accredited ultrasound program preferred.
• ARDMS registration within 1 year of hire or 2 years from graduation date, whichever is later.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Six months to one year clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment and learn vascular ultrasound.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate accredited ultrasound program preferred.

License, certification and/or registration: Require ARDMS registered within 1 year of hire or 2 years from graduation date, whichever is later. BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Experience: Six months to one year clinical experience preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing task frequently and quickly. Must be willing to learn vascular ultrasound.
