Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a full-time MRI/CT technologist to support our imaging center. After training, you will position patients for MRI/CT exams, start IVs and administer contrast, and assist remote technologists while entering patient notes in RIS.

• Experience starting IVs and venipuncture.
• Prior MRI/CT tech experience preferred.

• Utilizes venipuncture skills in assisting CT/MRI techs as needed.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.

• Performs tasks to assist remote technologist and day-to-day operations.
• Positions and assists in MRI for ROCC team.
• Starts IVs and administers contrast.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.

• Support other staff and site as needed in the day-to-day operations of the imaging center.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
