• High School diploma plus a two-year AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from ARDMS required.
• Ability to independently handle ultrasound and vascular equipment.

Responsibilities

Job description

Performs all diagnostic ultrasound and vascular examinations for interpretation by a radiologist. Performs ultrasound exams, vascular exams, related paperwork, explanation of exams, assists radiologist/physician with all biopsies, specialized ultrasound and vascular exams. Stocks linens and supplies as needed. Cleans and maintains room/equipment. Understands the utilization of PACS. Promotes timely workflow. Adheres to all OSHA and Infection Control policies. Assists in transporting acutely ill patients as needed. Assists with clerical duties (phone, scheduling, computer entry, etc.). Helps ensure a safe and clean working environment for patients and co-workers.

Requirements include a High School diploma plus a two-year AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program. Must be able to handle ultrasound and vascular equipment, properly position patients, and practice good patient care independently. Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential from ARDMS is required.
