Qualifications

• Registered Ultrasound Sonographer preferred
• Registry eligible required

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams and prepare patients
• Interpret ultrasound results and maintain equipment
• Schedule patients as necessary

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

Certification: CPR-BLS

Completion of formal ultrasound program approved by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

Ultrasound Technologist- Days

Position Highlights

• Position: Ultrasound Technologist
• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time 40 hours
• Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30 AM-6 PM, rotating weekends
• Call: 6-8 calls per month/ as needed
• Required Travel: Local- Skokie as needed
  
  

What You Will Do

• Perform ultrasound exam
• Prepare patients for exam: obtains and records history, explains procedure, positions patients and ensures their comfort
• Interprets ultrasound
• Cleans and maintains equipment
• Schedules patients if necessary
  
  

What You Will Need

• License: N/A
• Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Certification: CPR-BLS required. Completion of formal ultrasound program approved by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers required. Registry eligible required; prefer Registered Ultra sonographer
