Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare seeks a Radiology Imaging Technician to perform diagnostic radiographic exams, and to ensure smooth operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department while delivering quality patient care.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Radiology or a certificate program, ARRT, IEMA, and BLS certifications, plus strong communication and patient care skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or certificate program is required.
• ARRT, IEMA, and BLS licenses/certifications required.
• Experience with imaging equipment and patient care protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic exams.
• Utilizes PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintains appropriate IV and Contrast competency.
• Follows established protocols and procedures for proper patient position, exposure control, and radiation protection.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all involved in the patient care process.
• Cleans and inspects departmental equipment.
• Cleans and stocks Imaging rooms.
