Job summary

Unio Health Partners (UHP) seeks an Ultrasound Technologist for per diem travel across Greater LA division offices. You will perform and interpret urological ultrasounds, including abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, and TRUS, ensuring high-quality images and protocol adherence.

Requirements include 2+ years of ultrasound experience, comfort with multiple ultrasound machines, ARDMS AB certification, and the ability to relay findings to physicians.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience.
• Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines.
• ARDMS AB certification is Required.
• Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic information.
• Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician.

Responsibilities

• Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture images for urologic exams including abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS.
• Evaluate ultrasound results against procedure plan and guidelines.
• Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings.
• Assist patients pre-procedure and prepare skin surface with gel.
• Communicate effectively with patients and maintain comfort during examination.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and interpret urological ultrasounds through the Greater LA division's offices. This is a traveling position.

What you will be doing

• Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images for various urologic ultrasound exams which include abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS ultrasounds.
• Evaluate ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes given the procedure plan as well as whether appropriate test guidelines and protocols were followed
• Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings
• Helping patients prepare for the procedure by explaining the process, helping them to move to the table, and preparing the skin surface by applying gel before using the equipment
• Communicate effectively with the patient and maintain his/her comfort level during the examination

What you will bring to the team

• Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience, urology experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines
• ARDMS AB certification is Required.
• Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed
• Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician
