Job summary

Unio Health Partners is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a per diem, traveling role serving the Greater LA division. This position involves operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for urologic exams (abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS), and evaluating results within established guidelines.

You will prepare patients, explain procedures, ensure comfort, and communicate findings to the physician to support accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience, urology experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines.
• ARDMS AB certification is Required.
• Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed.
• Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician.

Responsibilities

• Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images for various urologic ultrasound exams which include abdominal, renal, pelvic, scrotal, TRUS ultrasounds.
• Evaluate ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes given the procedure plan as well as whether appropriate test guidelines and protocols were followed
• Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings
• Helping patients prepare for the procedure by explaining the process, helping them to move to the table, and preparing the skin surface by applying gel before using the equipment
• Communicate effectively with the patient and maintain his/her comfort level during the examination
