Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network seeks a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform OB/GYN, abdominal and vascular exams, delivering high-quality patient care and accurate clinical data.

The role requires collaboration with staff physicians and radiologists, adherence to protocols, routine use of RIS/HIS and PACS, and participation in CQI/QA activities, with on-call and holiday scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience preferred in OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts and vascular sonography.
• Registered or registry eligible by ARDMS/ARRT in OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs multiple ultrasound exams in OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular using correct technical skills.
• Recognizes significant anatomy, differentiating normal from abnormal anatomy and artifacts.
• Interacts with staff physicians and radiologists to produce high quality patient exams and care.
• Follows protocols; adapts to changes as needed.
• Maintains accurate patient and equipment records; uses RIS/HIS and PACS.
• Keeps supplies stocked; sterilizes probes and manages on-call/holiday scheduling.
• Participates in CQI and QA programs and data collection; ensures PACS QA issues are resolved.
• Identifies scheduling needs, matches to resources, and tracks compliance.
