Job summary

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, NV is seeking an Ultrasound Technician to perform abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvic, breast and small parts studies for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires graduation from a diagnostic medical sonography or radiology program and may require ARRT/DMS certification; BLS within 30 days. One year of experience preferred; strong patient care and accurate record-keeping essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography or radiology program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.
• Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
• Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.
