Job description

Responsibilities
  • Performs diagnostic medical sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail.
  • Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Works independently and collaborates effectively as a team member in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of ultrasound procedures, both diagnostic and interventional.
Qualifications
  • More than one year of experience in Abdomen or OB/GYN sonography.
  • Current with continuing education units as required by the ARDMS licensing board.
  • Possesses current CPR/BLS and ARDMS certification.
  • Well-versed in general and cross-sectional anatomy, as well as physiology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with venous Doppler, Color Doppler, Neurosonography, and Interventional Procedures.
  • ARDMS certification in physics and at least one other area, preferably abdomen or OB/Gyn.
  • Active membership in a major diagnostic professional society is preferred.

This position is represented by SEIU, Local UHW, and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
