Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist at Highpoint Health Winchester, Tennessee. You will perform ultrasound studies to enhance patient care and support diagnostic decisions in a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology.
• Tennessee or other US state certification; accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound studies to support diagnostic decisions.
• Carry out sonographic examinations as requested by physicians.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.

How You’ll Contribute

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound studies, including abdominal, OB, vascular, neonatal, pelvis, breast, and testicular exams, to support diagnostic decisions.
• Carry out sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by referring physicians, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage supplies, notifying supervisors as needed.
• Ensure equipment is maintained for accuracy and longevity.
• Provide age‑appropriate care to all patients.
• Acknowledge the role of physician/staff consultant and educational resource for scan appropriateness and accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology.
• Licenses: Tennessee or other US state certification; accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: One year of DMS experience for ARRT candidates.
