Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to join our imaging team on a PRN, variable schedule. You will welcome patients, perform ultrasound exams, operate equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and flow. ARDMS registration is required or ARDMS eligibility; BLS within 30 days is expected. Join a facility dedicated to high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiology program.
  • ARDMS registration or ARDMS eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire; ARDMS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.
  • Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
  • Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.
  • Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be a graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or School of Radiology. Must be ARDMS registered, or ARDMS eligible. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ARDMS is required within 1 year.
