Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography, maintain equipment, and provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a state license, DMS program graduation, and ARDMS/ARRT certification with BLS. Prior imaging experience is preferred. Eligible candidates will join a team committed to community health and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current State License in good standing.
• Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program.
• ARDMS certification or eligibility and meet credentialing requirements.
• ARRT or DMS Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician.
• Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and orderly work area.
• Notifies supervisor of needed items and maintains equipment for accuracy.
• Provides age-appropriate care to all patients.
• Acts as a physician/staff consultant and educational resource for scans.

How you'll contribute

An Ultrasound Technologist who excels in this role:

• Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician delivery of care and services
• Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and orderly work area. Notifies supervisor of needed items
• Maintains equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity
• Provides age appropriate care to all patients
• Acts as a physician/staff consultant and educational resource for appropriateness and accuracy of scans

What we're looking for

• Current State License in good standing
• Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program
• Candidates who are not graduates of a from DMS program may be considered if they have obtained or are eligible to obtain American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification and meet all applicable clinical, educational, and credentialing requirements. Requirements include graduation of a DMS program within 12 months of employment and active certification in good standing.
