RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technician at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations. The role requires graduation from an accredited school of sonography, ARDMS certification, and BLS, with on-call/weekends/holidays and an evening shift.

You will work in the Ultrasound department, ensuring patient comfort, accurate imaging, and collaboration with physicians.

• BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider certification through American Heart Association.
• Experience 2 years, Preferred.
• On Call, Weekends, Holidays.
• Monday - Friday, 4pm-12pm.

A typical day for an Ultrasound Technician may include:

• Prepares & sends specimens to labs in the absence of the secretary.
• Prepares exam rooms before patient enters & cleans room following patient's exit.
• Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by assisting them onto the table & instructing them in the procedure that is being performed.
• Selects & records appropriate images for the permanent
• The sonographer is competent in the production & analysis of ultrasound images used by physicians for patient diagnosis & treatment.
• In addition, the individual must be prepared to render quality patient care by exercising discretion & judgement in the performance of sonographic services.

• Graduate of accredited School of Sonography
• Certified by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/ Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
• Experience 2 years, Preferred
• On Call, Weekends, Holidays
• Monday - Friday, 4pm-12pm
