Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform a range of routine and complex ultrasound procedures under the supervision of an experienced lead technologist. The role includes pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and vascular imaging with potential breast ultrasound and guided interventions.

You will prepare preliminary findings and provide patient care across all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Student currently enrolled in an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP or CMA in Canada) is required.
• 1 year of student experience in an accredited CAAHEP or CMA program is required.
• BCLS/BLS certification is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures under direct or indirect supervision.
• Imaging includes pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular exams (peripheral vascular, renal, aorta/iliac, carotid).
• May perform breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures (e.g., biopsies).
• Prepares preliminary findings and provides patient care to all age groups (neonatal to geriatrics).

Performs ultrasound imaging such as pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations (ex., peripheral vascular [arterial and venous], renal, aorta/iliac, and carotid artery) and may perform more complex imaging such as breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures (ex., biopsies). Prepares preliminary findings. Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Work Experience

• 1 year as a student in are accredited Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) program Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Upon Hire Required
