Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform routine and complex ultrasound exams, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts and vascular studies, under supervision. You will prepare preliminary findings and provide patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

The role requires being enrolled in an accredited ultrasound program (CAAHEP or CMA) with at least 1 year of related study and BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• A student currently enrolled in accredited ultrasound program by the CAAHEP or CMA in Canada Required
• 1 year as a student in are accredited CAAHEP or CMA CMA program Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures under supervision according to established standards.
• Prepares preliminary findings and provides patient care to all age groups.

Performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures according to established standards and practices under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an experienced or lead ultrasound/vascular technologist. Performs ultrasound imaging such as pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations (ex., peripheral vascular [arterial and venous], renal, aorta/iliac, and carotid artery) and may perform more complex imaging such as breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures (ex., biopsies). Prepares preliminary findings. Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
