Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a qualified ultrasound technologist to perform pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and vascular imaging under direct and/or indirect supervision of an experienced lead ultrasound/vascular technologist. You will prepare preliminary findings and provide patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in or have completed a CAAHEP or CMA accredited ultrasound program, with at least 1 year of relevant student

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or graduated from CAAHEP or CMA accredited ultrasound program.
• Minimum 1 year of student experience in a CAAHEP/CMA program.
• BCLS/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams.
• Prepare preliminary findings for interpretation.
• Provide care to patients across all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Performs a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures according to established standards and practices under the direct and/or indirect supervision of an experienced or lead ultrasound/vascular technologist. Performs ultrasound imaging such as pelvic, abdominal, small parts, and routine vascular examinations (ex., peripheral vascular [arterial and venous], renal, aorta/iliac, and carotid artery) and may perform more complex imaging such as breast ultrasound, deep Doppler and guided interventional procedures (ex., biopsies). Prepares preliminary findings. Provides patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications:

Education

• A student currently enrolled in accredited ultrasound program by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) in Canada Required

Work Experience

• 1 year as a student in are accredited Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Canadian Medical Association (CMA) program Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Basic Life Support (BLS) certified Upon Hire Required
