Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform US Imaging following ACR, facility, and radiologist standards. The role emphasizes high-quality images and superb customer service within the imaging department.

The candidate should demonstrate ultrasound principles, be available for on-call and variable shifts, and meet licensure/registration requirements within specified timeframes. Hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Sonography or Radiography expected within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of DOH transfer.
• ARRT (R) or ARDMS within 24 months of DOH transfer.
• Graduate of Sonography/Radiography program or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform US Imaging by ACR, facility, and radiologist standards.
• Demonstrate ultrasound principles to acquire quality images.
• Provide excellent customer service in alignment with facility values.
• Complete ancillary tasks to support efficient department operations.
• Must be able to perform on-call, varying shifts, holidays, and weekends.
