Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Alabama seeks a skilled imaging technician to perform ultrasound imaging by adhering to ACR standards and providing exceptional customer service. Candidates should be graduates of accredited sonography or radiography programs and possess the necessary registrations. This role requires the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Recent hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in sonography or radiography.
• Required to obtain BLS certification within 90 days.
• Preferred: Recent hospital experience as a US technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform US imaging according to ACR and facility standards.
• Demonstrate ultrasound principles to ensure quality imaging.
• Complete ancillary tasks for efficient departmental operations.

Must be able to perform on-call, varies shifts, holidays, and weekends when required.

Position Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Sonography\Radiography or hospital\military program where registry status can be obtained.
• Required Registration/License/Certification
  • BLS within 90 days of DOH ransfer
  • ARRT (S) or ARDMS.
• Preferred Education: Graduate of school of Sonography and ARDMS registered
• Preferred Experience: Recent hospital experience preferred as a US technologist
