Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama seeks an Ultrasound Tech to perform ultrasound imaging to department standards and radiologist guidelines. The role includes on-call, varied shifts, and weekend coverage as needed.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT (R) or ARDMS certification, with BLS within 90 days and registry eligibility preferred for ARRT (S) or ARDMS as applicable. Recent hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate or enrolled with an expectation of diploma within 120 days of hire of School of Sonography\Radiography or hospital\military program where registry status can be obtained.
• Minimum Experience: N/A
• Required Registration/License/Certification: BLS within 90 days of DOH\transfer ARRT (R) or ARDMS within 24 months of DOH\transfer
• Preferred Education: Graduate of school of Sonography\Radiography or ARDMS registry eligible
• Preferred Experience: Recent hospital experience preferred as a US technologist
• Preferred Registration/License/Certification: ARRT (S), ARDMS
• Other Requirements: N/A

Responsibilities

• Performs US Imaging by ACR, facility, and radiologist standards.
• Demonstrates Ultrasound principles to acquire quality images.
• Provides superior customer service in accordance with facility core values.
