Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform US Imaging following ACR, facility, and radiologist standards. The role emphasizes high-quality images and superb customer service within the imaging department.

The candidate should demonstrate ultrasound principles, be available for on-call and variable shifts, and meet licensure/registration requirements within specified timeframes. Hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Sonography or Radiography expected within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification within 90 days of DOH transfer.
• ARRT (R) or ARDMS within 24 months of DOH transfer.
• Graduate of Sonography/Radiography program or registry eligible.

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs US Imaging by ACR, facility, and radiologist standards. Demonstrates Ultrasound principles to acquire quality images. Provides superior customer service in accordance with facility core values. Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Must be able to perform on-call, varies shifts, holidays, and weekends when required.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate or enrolled with an expectation of diploma within 120 days of hire of School of Sonography\Radiography or hospital\military program where registry status can be obtained.
