ProMedica's Monroe Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Sonographer to support ultrasound services. You will perform ultrasound exams, educate patients about procedures, and assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures, including training role for new sonographers.

The position is per diem with flexible scheduling and operates within the Ultra Sound department. Must maintain ARDMS registration and CPR certification; prior diagnostic ultrasound program completion is required.

Qualifications

• Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or has equivalent ARDMS-accepted experience.
• Must be ARDMS registered and maintain active status; renewal within 30 days of expiration.
• CPR certification required.

Job Summary:

A Registered Sonographer can play a key role in assisting the physician in diagnosing and treating a patient at ProMedica.

You will perform ultrasound procedures, educate the patient about the procedure, and answer any questions they or their family might have.

In this role, you will help the physician with physician-performed ultrasound-guided procedures and may train/educate/evaluate new or student sonographers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have the equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
• Must be registered as a diagnostic sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and must maintain active registry status. ARDMS renewal must be completed within 30 days prior to its expiration.
• CPR certification
