• Completion of formal ultrasound technology training meeting ARDMS certification requirements.
• 1–2 years of experience using ultrasound and vascular technology at a healthcare facility.
• ARDMS certification or eligible; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs billing and charging with computer systems.
• Follows proper protocol and paperwork for servicing malfunctioning equipment.
• Inputs charges in computer system and obtains patient history for each examination.
• Documents examination information completely and accurately to medical personnel.
• Utilizes QC and preventive maintenance; ensures proper patient positioning for best results.
• Explains the ultrasound process to each patient prior to the examination.
• Verifies patient identification using armband.
• Uses communication and information systems; handles filing and copying of examinations.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.
