Job summary

Abrazo Scottsdale Campus Hospital in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform quality ultrasound examinations across abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts and interventional procedures. You will work with Radiologists/MDs in a collaborative imaging environment.

Responsibilities include documenting findings, billing aspects, equipment QC, and ensuring patient safety and identification. ARDMS certification and CPR are required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal ultrasound training meeting certification requirements (ARDMS).
• 1–2 years of ultrasound and vascular technology experience.
• ARDMS certification or eligible; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality ultrasound examinations (abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, interventional).
• Follows protocols and documents examination information for medical personnel.
• Obtains patient history and positions patient for optimal imaging.
• Inputs charges and handles billing with computer systems.
• Maintains patient safety and verifies proper patient identification.
• Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment; adheres to QC procedures.
• Explains ultrasound process to patients prior to examination.
• Performs related tasks as assigned.
