Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso's Imaging Far East department is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures for patients across age groups. The role supports patient care during procedures and helps develop and monitor imaging systems to improve service quality.

The candidate should have an Associate degree in Ultrasound, two years of related experience, and hold ARDMS (SPI) and/or ARRT Sonography certifications with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of work related experience required.
• ARDMS in SPI and any combination of two of the following certifications: ABD, OB/GYN, VT, BR, FE, MSKS required.
• ARRT in Sonography S: VS, BS certifications are required.
• CPR Certified.
• Associates of Applied Sciences in Ultrasound required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of Ultrasound procedures on patients of varying ages in the Imaging department.
• Completes all tasks and responsibilities to manage patient care needs while patient is in department for procedures.
• Assists in development and monitoring of department-specific systems and in coordinating activities to improve quality of patient care in Diagnostic Imaging Services.
