Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and positioning
• Knowledge of department, hospital and universal infection control policies
• Must have effective communication and listening skills

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment with knowledge of A-mode, M-mode, B-mode and Doppler
• Maintain image quality by following standards and recognizing artifacts
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain treatments
• Troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs
• Document patient care in records and ensure infection-control compliance
• Contribute to team by achieving related results as needed
• Receive orders from licensed practitioners for examinations
