Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for per diem shifts. You will perform ultrasound imaging and provide patient care on physician orders, with flexibility for weekends and evenings as needed.

Training period requires 2-3 weekdays of day shifts, followed by scheduling based on operational needs and state regulations limiting to 19 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved program of ultrasound technology or radiologic technology.
• No experience required with graduation from an approved program of ultrasound technology less than 24 months ago or graduation from an approved program of radiologic technology, and six months of experience as a registered radiologic technologist at MDACC.
• RDMS/ARRT/RT credentials upon hire or as noted; BLS/CPR are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging and assist in patient care per physician orders.
• Adhere to approved protocols and protocols, maintaining high-quality exams in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Properly document data into PACS, EMR and other systems; ensure accuracy and coding.
