Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Tyler, Texas is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform routine and advanced ultrasound imaging, assist radiologists, and help maintain smooth patient flow across campus operations.

The role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, 1 year of experience preferred, ARRT/ARDMS credentials within 1 year, and BLS. The position offers multiple shifts with stability in a dynamic radiology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
• 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred; basic computer experience required
• Requires ARRT Sonography (S) or ARDMS RDMS credentials within 1 year of hire; preferred additional certifications such as VS, BR, AE, RVT and OB/GYN RDMS

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable CHRISTUS competencies and core values
• Promotes staff growth and optimal work environment through collaboration with management and physicians
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to policies and standards of care
• Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS; follows PACS downtime procedures
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and reports issues to leadership; supports cross-campus coverage
