Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks a skilled Ultrasound Tech to support imaging services in the Ultrasound Department. The role includes performing ultrasound exams under radiologist supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and delivering high-quality care in a faith-based healthcare system.

The ideal candidate holds a RDMS in OB/GYN, ARDMS registered, and has 2+ years of diagnostic sonography experience, with BLS certification and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program accredited by CAAHEP and/or ARDMS registered
• RDMS (OB/GYN) required
• Two years of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• PC skills such as Windows NT
• AHA BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures under the direction of a radiologist, maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Be competent in production, use, recognition and analysis of ultrasound images and patterns used for diagnosis
• Knowledgeable in ultrasound physics and instrumentation, normal anatomy and pathological variants
• Deliver excellent patient care and contribute to the department's success factors
