Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Tech for night shifts (8pm–6:30am). You will perform general ultrasound procedures, prepare patients, send images to PACS, and assist radiologists during procedures in a 273-bed acute care facility.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program, ARDMS registry, and BLS (or within 90 days). One year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography from a CAAHEP-accredited program.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ARDMS registry and BLS (or obtained within 90 days) required/requested.

Responsibilities

• Performs general ultrasound procedures and uses related techniques to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepares room and equipment, positions patients, and explains procedures to patients.
• Sends images to PACS and ensures availability for radiologist interpretation.
• Assists Radiologists during procedures and takes needed images.
• Maintains proper records and adheres to Universal Protocol and quality control procedures.
• Rotates to support other imaging departments as needed and participates in on-call rotations.
