Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an Ultrasound Tech for full-time overnight shifts (8pm–6:30am). The role involves performing general ultrasound exams, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality imaging for radiologist interpretation.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography, ARDMS registry, and BLS certification, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiography or Sonography from a CAAHEP approved school.
• Registry by ARDMS (required) and BLS (or obtained within 90 days).
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound procedures and produce images for interpretation by Radiologist.
• Maintain records per regulatory and accreditation agencies and perform equipment QC.
• Prepare room and equipment, and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Transmit images to PACS and verify availability for interpretation in a timely manner.
• Assist Radiologists and schedule exams, rotating to other imaging departments as needed.
