Ardent Health Services is seeking a rotating-shift, part-time Ultrasound Technician in Westwood, New Jersey. The role involves performing ultrasound examinations and providing patient-focused care within Imaging Services at Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center.

Ideal candidates are graduates from an accredited ultrasonography program, with ARDMS eligibility or certification within six months, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography.
• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent, with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Mansioni

• Assist in delivering personalized, professional and quality patient care in Imaging Services.
• Perform all Ultrasound examinations as assigned.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services.
• Prepare departmental paperwork and answer the department’s telephone.
• Schedule patients and enter/retrieve patient information from PACS and HIS; maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all Ultrasound examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department’s telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography.
• Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent, with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous employment as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Breast experience

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
