Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment. You will produce diagnostic images under Radiologist supervision, while maintaining professional patient interactions and adherence to department protocols.

Qualified candidates have an accredited Sonography program, ARDMS certification, BLS, and 1+ specialty; two years of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires ARDMS certification in at least one specialty.
• Two years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required; AHA Healthcare Provider certification.
• New hires must have AHA certification before orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures per department protocols.
• Produce high-quality ultrasound images.
• Interact with patients, physicians and staff professionally.
• Maintain equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort.

Department RADIOLOGY ULTRASOUND - 307045 Worker Sub Type Regular Work Shift First Shift (United States of America) Pay Range $35.30 - $52.95

Job Description The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provides high quality care for patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric. Works in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment with reliance on your expertise, professionalism and collaboration. Produces diagnostic ultrasound images in accordance with department scanning protocols under the general supervision of a Radiologist. Interacts with patients, physicians and staff in a professional and friendly manner.

Education Satisfactory completion of an accredited Sonography program.

Experience (2) years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience is preferred.

Certification & Licensures ARDMS Certification in at least (1) speciality required BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required* Additional RDMS certification in which the department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in accordance with the accrediting body’s guidelines. * New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.

Qualifications Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology for accurate medical diagnosis as associated with ultrasound. Competence in performing all types of general ultrasound procedures and services. Ability to effectively operate all equipment utilized within the scope of a sonographer. Accountability and attention to detail in the performance of duties. Friendly and professional demeanor.
