Job summary

UT Health East Texas is seeking a day shift, full-time Ultrasound Technician in Tyler, TX to join our radiology team. You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images under the direction of a Radiologist.

Ideal candidates are ARDMS-registered or registry-eligible within 120 days, have BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and can handle a patient mix spanning pediatric to geriatric. We offer a supportive, patient-focused environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARDMS-approved Ultrasound program.
• Must be ARDMS registered or registry eligible within 120 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Knowledge and ability to operate all Ultrasound equipment and Ultrasound-required exams.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and / or invasive procedures, as directed by Radiologist, serving diverse patient populations from pediatric to geriatric.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and / or invasive procedures, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties. The patient population would include the pediatric patient, the adolescent patient, the young-middle aged adult patient, and the geriatric patient.
