Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Jacksonville, TX seeks a day shift, full-time Ultrasound Tech to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures under radiologist direction. The role requires ARDMS certification or registry eligibility and BLS, with ARDMS-approved program completion.

Qualifications

• Must be ARDMS registered or registry eligible within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Graduate of an ARDMS approved Ultrasound program.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images for the body as directed by Radiologist, across pediatric to geriatric populations.

• UT Health Jacksonville features 33 operational beds, an ICU, a 24-hour ED designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility, a maternity unit, advanced diagnostic technology, surgical suites, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, a wound healing center, and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness and rehabilitation facility.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic and / or invasive procedures, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties. The patient population would include the pediatric patient, the adolescent patient, the young-middle aged adult patient, and the geriatric patient.
